Time Traveler

I thought I would share with you today a quilt that is in my Etsy Store. For the moment it is the only thing in my store, but I am working on that.

I made this quilt using simple half triangle squares but I spent a lot of time deciding how I was going to layout all those squares. I think that was half the fun of making this quilt, there are endless possibilities in the design.

I did something a little different for me and backed this quilt with a print instead of a solid or muslin like I usually do. I think it made it special to do a print on the back and it really makes the binding pop from the back.

I ended up calling this quilt the "Time Traveler" quilt because of the amazing fabric used. It is filled with old bikes, clocks, stamps, travel stamps and flowers all with a sort of Victorian flair, even slightly steampunk in a way. It makes one want to go there, back in time.

Anyways, this quilt is up in the shop, head on over there if you are interested. It would make a great gift for a friend or for yourself!
