Time Traveler

I thought I would share with you today a quilt that is in my Etsy Store. For the moment it is the only thing in my store, but I am working on that.

I made this quilt using simple half triangle squares but I spent a lot of time deciding how I was going to layout all those squares. I think that was half the fun of making this quilt, there are endless possibilities in the design.

I did something a little different for me and backed this quilt with a print instead of a solid or muslin like I usually do. I think it made it special to do a print on the back and it really makes the binding pop from the back.

I ended up calling this quilt the "Time Traveler" quilt because of the amazing fabric used. It is filled with old bikes, clocks, stamps, travel stamps and flowers all with a sort of Victorian flair, even slightly steampunk in a way. It makes one want to go there, back in time.

Anyways, this quilt is up in the shop, head on over there if you are interested. It would make a great gift for a friend or for yourself!

A few things.....and the moon.

My Hubby and I were busy this weekend. We got a twitter account up for me, you can follow me @saykayquilts.

We also got my Etsy store up and running, there is a link to it in a tab up at the top.

We also spent a bit of time working on his gaming stuff, you can check it out at Metatronix Gaming on youtube.

As well as all of that we decided it would be nice to buy the moon, so we did.

Happy Monday everyone!
